1. Executive Summary
The NEIR Teacher Excellence Award is a landmark initiative instituted under the KRC Foundation as an integral pillar of the North East Integration Rally (NEIR). Operating under the Education Vertical of the '5E for Success' framework, the award program recognises, celebrates, and honours outstanding educators whose transformative dedication enriches educational standards across the North Eastern states of India. Conferred during the NEIR 2027 campaign, the honours encompass diverse pedagogical levels and geographic distributions across states and towns.
2. Core Objectives
Recognise Pedagogical Excellence: To confer institutional acknowledgement upon meritorious teachers, tutors, and academic mentors across North East India who demonstrate sustained commitment to student development.
Motivate Prospective Educators: Inspire the next generation of youth to pursue teaching as a vibrant, respected, and nation-building career path.
Public Documentation & Media Recognition: To amplify educators' stories and classroom achievements through dedicated print/digital features in KRC TIMES, special video bulletins, and multimedia coverage.
3. Scope & Eligible Categories
Geographic Criteria: Nominees must be actively serving as teachers or academic mentors within educational institutions or learning centres located in the North Eastern region of India. The award categories encompass all tiers of formal and supplementary academic mentoring:

Primary Level Foundational education and primary school educators.
High School Secondary stage subject teachers and school mentors.
Senior Secondary Higher secondary (10+2 / Junior College) faculty members.
College Level Undergraduate educators, lecturers, and assistant professors.
University & Research Postgraduate faculty members and PhD Research Guides.
Supplementary Academic Mentors Home tutors, coaching institute teachers, and academic coaching centre mentors.
4. Inclusive Nomination Architecture
The initiative embraces a multi-stakeholder, democratic nomination process. Nominations may be submitted by a wide cross-section of society via an exhaustive official Google Form.
Eligible Nominators: Students, Parents, Fellow Teachers, Principals, Institution Owners, administrative officials, Public Representatives / Politicians, General Citizens, and Self-Nominations.
Narrative Justification: Each submission mandates an exhaustive qualitative narrative (200+ words) detailing the educator's distinctive pedagogy, social contribution, and institutional impact.
KRC TIMES Feature: High-quality write-ups (200+ words) will be shortlisted for exclusive publication in KRC TIMES. (Publication is an editorial recognition of excellence in writing and guarantees the final award).
5. Evaluation Framework & Selection Protocol
To ensure transparency, objectivity, and regional equity, the NEIR Committee appointed by NEIR Management under the KRC Foundation will evaluate all candidates through a multi-tier appraisal protocol:
· Cumulative Nomination Volume: Review of total nominations submitted by community
stakeholders.
· Narrative Quality & Merit: Deep assessment of the detailed 200+ word impact justification.
· Independent Field Assessment: Field surveys and background verification conducted by
the evaluation cell.
· Confidential Stakeholder Questionnaire: Direct verification inquiries sent confidentially to
select parents, teaching colleagues, and the Head of the Institution.
6. Awards Conferment & Felicitation Kit
Selected educators will be felicitated during official ceremonies of the NEIR 2027 Campaign, categorised by state, district, and academic domain. The final number of awardees will be notified in subsequent releases. Each recipient will be conferred with an official token of honour comprising:
· A formal Certificate of Excellence commemorating meritorious service
· A specially crafted NEIR Commemorative Memento / Trophy
· A premium Commemorative Pen
· A traditional North East India Handloom Shawl
· A traditional cultural Scarf representing prominent indigenous tribes of North East India
7. Program Governance & Data Confidentiality
Data Privacy & Final Authority Notice:
• Strict Confidentiality: All nomination responses, questionnaire feedback from colleagues, parents, and institutional heads will remain completely confidential and restricted to the evaluation panel.
• Management Prerogative: The decision of the NEIR Management and the constituted NEIR Committee shall be final, binding, and conclusive in all selection matters.
